At present, China pays more attention to environmental protection and energy conservation. In terms of deep processing coal resources, many customers do not know which is better for the selection of pulverized coal vertical roller mill and ball mill for pulverized coal. In the following, HCM has analyzed the characteristics of coal, which is beneficial to the customer’s choice of coal grinding mill.

1. Due to the difference in the type of coal texture and the boiler used, the requirements for coal particle size are different. Generally, the screening rate is about 90% at 200 meshes. The grinding equipment should be able to adjust the fineness;

2. Generally, coal blocks are not very dry materials. Generally, coal contains more than 15% moisture, and lignite even reaches 45%. Therefore, the coal pulverizing equipment must be able to adapt to high moisture materials and dry the materials while grinding. It is not necessary to set up a separate dryer to increase the drying process;

3. Coal contains flammable volatile water, and coal itself is combustible, so flame retardant and explosion-proof measures must be taken during grinding;

4. Coal contains hard and difficult to grind impurities, which are required to adapt to hard and difficult to grind impurities during grinding;

Ball mill or pulverized coal vertical roller mill for pulverized coal preparation? Although both the pulverized coal vertical roller mill and ball mill of can deeply process coal, from the analysis of coal characteristics, the vertical roller mill of pulverized coal is more suitable for three reasons:

First, the pulverized coal vertical roller mill adopts unique production process and structure, which occupies a small area, has less dust and noise during production, and produces pulverized coal with high efficiency grading and excellent combustion performance.

Second, compared with the ball mill of the same scale, the power consumption of pulverized coal vertical roller mill can save 20~40%, especially when the raw coal moisture is large. In addition, this vertical roller mill adopts air sweeping operation. By adjusting the temperature of the incoming air and the air volume, raw coal with moisture up to 10% can be grinded and dried. High air volume is used to meet the requirement of drying with high moisture, without adding auxiliary machines.

Third, the pulverized coal vertical roll mill integrates five processes of crushing, grinding, drying, powder selection and transportation. The process is simple, the layout is compact, the floor area is about 60-70% of the ball mill system, and the building area is about 50-60% of the ball mill system.

The most important thing is that the pulverized coal vertical roller mill adopts a high-efficient dynamic powder concentrator, which has high powder selection efficiency and large adjustment room. The fineness of powder selection can reach less than 3% of the 0.08 mm sieve residue, which can meet the fineness requirements of most low-quality coal or anthracite grinding in the cement production line.
